Panchayat raj services at doorstep: R&B minister

Nizamabad: Minister for roads and buildings V. Prashanth Reddy said the state government had taken up initiatives to revamp the panchayat raj department to bring its services to the doorstep of the people. He inaugurated the panchayat raj chief engineer (CE) office in Nizamabad on Sunday, which was set up as part of the decentralisation of panchayat raj department. G. Sitaramulu was appointed as the chief engineer.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that the state government had taken steps to improve road connectivity and construction of culverts in rural areas. Zilla Parishad chairman Dadannagari Vittal Rao, additional collector Chitra Mishra, Commissioner of Police K. Satyanarayana and others were present. The officials congratulated G. Sitaramulu for assuming charge as the new chief engineer in Nizamabad.
