Visakhapatnam: Governor S. Abdul Nazeer cancelled the appointment with the TD leaders. In this regard, TD AP president Atchannaidu got a call from the Governor's office. The appointment was on Sunday morning at 9.45 am.
Atchannaidu is still under house arrest in his Vizag house.
In the wake of TD chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s arrest, the Vizag police moved the TD leaders from their homes at 5 am and detained them at the MVP 3 Town police station.
TD zone 1 media coordinator Byreddy Potanna Reddy condemned the arrests, saying, "It is outrageous how the YSRC government can do this to the opposition party. It is not right to oppress the leaders of the opposition party. Political leaders should fight over policy matters. It is unfortunate that this kind of harassment is happening in AP. This is nothing but political vendetta."
TD leaders Botta Venkata Ramana, Bugata Sathyanarayana, Teddu Raju, Naru Gopi, G. Appanna, and Mugada Vasu were also detained.
