Kendriya Vidyalaya Pattom selected as top-ranked govt school

The school was also ranked first in the 2015 rankings.

Thiruvananthapuram: Kendriya Vidyalaya, Pattom has been selected as the top ranked government school in the country in the Education World India School Rankings (EWISR) 2016 conducted by Centre for Forecasting and Research Pvt Ltd (C-Fore). The ranking classified 1,000 schools in 13 categories including day-cum boarding, boarding and international schools. The school was also ranked first in the 2015 rankings.

The award will be received by School principal S. Ajayakumar at the Education world India School Rankings Awards Nite In  New Delhi, on September 23. Meanwhile, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan New Delhi has awarded two employees of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Pattom shift II with National Incentive Award-2016. Ms Resmi V, TGT (English) and S Ramachandran Nair, assistant were the staff selected for the award.

The school has two shifts from Class I to Class XII, with a roll of 4000 students and 150 staff. The First Shift has all the three streams - Science (two sections), Commerce and Humanities (one section each) - while the Second Shift has only Science and Commerce streams (one section each). The school celebrated its golden jubilee year for Kendriya Vidyalaya Pattom.
