Visakhapatnam: Bheemili MLA and former tourism minister Muttamsetti Srinivas (Avanti) said the 7 star luxury villas being developed by Oberoi Group over 40 acres in Annavaram village, eight km from Bhogapuram International Airport and 150 metres from the beach corridor, will create 5,500 jobs and promote tourism in north Andhra in a big way.

Speaking at the ground-breaking ceremony at Annavaram, conducted virtually by Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy from Gandikota on Sunday morning, Srinivas said 300 villas will be developed at a cost of Rs 350 crore. The project will be completed in four years.

“The area will become a separate tourism city in future,” the MLA told reporters.

Thanking the Chief Minister, the MLA pointed out that Jagan Mohan Reddy has brought three projects worth Rs 26,000 crore within a span of 65 days to the area. They are Adani Data Centre, Technology Park, and now the Oberoi hotels.

Local MLC Varudu Kalyani and district collector Dr A Mallikarjuna were among those present on the occasion.
