Minister says YSR Arogyasri available in four states

Vijayawada: Health minister Vidadala Rajani underlined that YSR Arogyasri scheme is being implemented in 2,263 hospitals of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, where eligible patients have been getting free health care.

Reviewing implementation of Arogyasri scheme with senior officials here on Tuesday, Rajani pointed out that a record 3,255 procedures are available at various hospitals under the scheme for which ₹3,336 crore have been allotted.

The health minister clarified that earlier, only 1,059 procedures had been available under the scheme. These have been enhanced by YSRC to 3,225.

Treatment under Arogyasri is available at 2,061 hospitals in AP, 132 in Telangana, 49 in Karnataka and 22 in Tamil Nadu.

In addition, she said 108 and 104 ambulance services are helping people in a big way.
