Tight security arrangements in place at RGI stadium

Hyderabad: Rachakonda police commissioner G. Sudheer Babu along with the zonal DCPs, additional DCPs and ACPs held a review meeting to discuss security arrangements for the India vs England five-day Test cricket match scheduled
from January 25 till January 29 at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Uppal.

Speaking on the occasion, Sudheer Babu, directed the officials to take all necessary security precautions for the conduct of the Test match to be held under the Rachakonda police commissionerate limits.

“Organising cricket competitions in the commissionerate is a great opportunity and the officials are instructed to make adequate security arrangements and ensure that no inconvenience is caused to the spectators,” Sudheer Babu said.

It is advised to ensure that there is no confusion in the distribution of tickets and coordinate with the representatives of the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA).

The officials were directed to instruct the organisers to take due care in issuing passes to media representatives and others.

“Necessary parking arrangements should be made to avoid any inconvenience to the audience and CCTV cameras should be installed in the vicinity of the stadium and also distribution of tickets will be done in full transparency,”
the police commissioner briefed.

DCP (Malkajgiri) P.V. Padmaja, DCP (special branch) Karunakar, Traffic DCP-1 Manohar and other officers also attended the meeting.
