Micro instruments of stone-age era found in Siddipet

Warangal: In a major find, a team from Kotha Telangana Charitra Brundham found some pits and micro-instruments from the new Stone Age (Kotha Rathi Yugam) atop Sri Venkateshwara Swamy gutta in Thadakapalli of Siddipet district on Monday.

According to brundham member Karunakar, they had found a small axe and some instruments used for grinding and some pits (guntalu) on the mountain along with small stones belonging to the middle Stone Age dating back to 10,000 to 5,000 BCE.

The team members said that this evidence showed that people from the distant past dwelled in the vicinity of the hill. Parankusham and Nemilikonda Damodar Swamy were on the team.
