Kerala: Case against website for job fraud

The release said that there are no vacancies currently at the airport firm.

KOCHI: The Nedumbassery police has registered a case against the private website which advertised saying that there are 200 vacancies at CIAL. On the basis of a complaint lodged by CIAL, the police registered the case under the IT Act against  the website careerkerala.com and its owner Unaise, 26, of Unaise Manzil of Chithara at Kadakkal,  Kollam.  A  case was registered for cheating as well. Under IT Act-2008 Section 74, the crime invites a term of two years and a fine of Rs 1 lakh.

The advertisement on the website said that there are 200 vacancies in different posts at CIAL and that those having required qualifications should contact the officials of careerkerala.com for appointment. The CIAL said in a release that the recruitment was done directly by the company and that no agency or website was  authorised to do it or advertise it or do any other process.

It also said that the vacancies that arise from time to time are advertised on the official website of CIAL www.cial.aero and candidates are selected online and through written test and interview. The release said that there are no vacancies currently at the airport firm. It was against this background that the company filed a police case against the website. Previously also the company had been rocked by job frauds.
