Vijayawada: Agriculture minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy on Thursday said after Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has taken over as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, the state is producing 14 lakh tonnes of additional paddy per annum.

He attributed this to the starting of Rythu Bharosa Kendras (RBK) in AP. Efficient services extended by RBKs are attracting national and international attention, he maintained.

The minister further pointed out that district cooperative central banks (DCCBs) running in losses in the past have come back on track with profits after Jagan Mohan Reddy took over reins and started supporting DCCBs by extending funds to them.

Govardhan Reddy declared that the state government is committed to providing free power supply to agriculture sector for nine hours without any compromise.

He objected to Telugu Desam leader Nara Lokesh saying that the state is being ruled by a fake Chief Minister and ministers. He warned Lokesh to keep his language in control or face retaliation.
