Hyderabad: The drug control department conducted lightning raids on medical shops in the city on Thursday and officials initiated action after finding that medicines were being sold at higher prices than mandated, and some low-quality medicines were found.

The raids were conducted on Ganesh Pharmaceuticals in Inderbagh Koti; Amberpet Biosphere Enterprises, Sardar Medical Hall, Akshaya Medical and General Store, Hyderabad Medical and General Stores, all at Nampally, RS Medical and General Stores in Langer Houz, Charminar Bharat Medical & General Stores, Humayunnagar’; Al-Hamra Medical and General Store, Uppal; Sri Ayyappa Medical and General Stores, Gowliguda; Gokul Medical Shop, Charminar; Meera Medical Shop, Mangarbasti; Life Pharma etc. have taken drug control measures on many medical shops.
