Telangana: No biometrics for Ecet-16

Nearly 27,000 candidates will take the test in 54 centres.

Hyderabad: All arrangements are in place for the TS-Ecet to be held on May 12. Nearly 27,000 candidates will take the test in 54 centres. Unlike other entrance tests, the biometric data of candidates will not be recorded. Officials will take the thumb impressions of the candidates, Ecet convener and JNTU registrar N. Yadaiah said.

Polytechnic students will be writing the exam for lateral entry into about 20,000 BTech seats in government and private engineering colleges. The results will be declared on or before May 22, the convener said.
