Visakhapatnam: 24 trains cancelled due to rains

Visakhapatnam: After reviewing the flood situation in north east and breaches caused due to heavy rain, Railway authorities decided to cancel 24 trains going to North East parts of India under North East Frontier Railway jurisdiction on different dates.

Mostly the trains were cancelled till September 14. To clear the rush, special trains would be run for en route passengers Kanyakumari-Santragachhi special will leave from Kanyakumari and 06553 Bengaluru-Howrah special from Bengaluru on September 7.

The other trains are 07149 Secunderabad-Howrah special from Secunderabad on September 8, 06554 Howrah-Bengaluru Special from Howrah and 02513 Secunderabad-Howrah Special from Secunderabad and 07183 Howrah-Secunderabad special from Howrah on September 10 and Santragachhi-Kanyakumari Special from Santragachhi (September 11).
