Vijayawada: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) court in Vijayawada, hearing on Tuesday the case related to attack on Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy at Visakhapatnam airport when he had been the opposition leader, adjourned the hearing to March 14 after ordering the victim Chief Minister to appear before it on that day.

During its last hearing, the NIA court had ordered that the CM, as victim, too must attend the hearing scheduled on Tuesday. However, the Chief Minister did not; though accused Janipalli Srinivasa Rao, who had attacked Jagan Mohan Reddy with a kodi (chicken) katti (knife), and CISF assistant commandant Dinesh Kumar, who is an eyewitness, attended the hearing.

The NIA court questioned Dinesh Kumar and noted down details. However, as the CM had not attended the hearing, the court adjourned its hearing to March 14, ordering that victim Jagan Mohan Reddy be present on that day.
