Hyderabad mayor lauds CM KCR ahead of Women\'s Day

Hyderabad: Ahead of International Women's Day, Hyderabad mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi extended her greetings to women in the state and lauded them for their efforts and triumphs at an event she attended in the city.  

On the occasion, the mayor also thanked Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao for leading the government to take several measures towards the social and economic development of women. She also credited him for encouraging women to be be active political leaders and   in political development goes to Rao.

The mayor said that social empowerment is possible when women take an active part in the economic development of the country. She added that women should not be limited to the home but should be encouraged to work according to their abilities and zooming past men in every field.
