Four international flights make emergency landing in RGIA

An online campaign for renaming the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad after Quli Qutub Shah, the founder of Hyderabad, has been started by city resident Mohammed Abubakr on Facebook.

Hyderabad: Four international flights were forced to make an emergency landing in the Rajiv Gandhi International airport in Shamshabad due to heavy fog on Sunday morning.

The flights were flying from Jeddah to Lucknow, Saudi Arabia to Delhi, Dubai to Bangladesh and Singapore to Delhi.

The four flights had to make emergency landing as the northern part of India was completely covered in snow and heavy fog.
