Sought after for selfies, Secretariat's CSO does it with style

Hyderabad: On any other day, he may have been missed by the crowd but, on Thursday, A.K. Misra, the senior police officer in-charge of security at the Dr B.R. Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat, was the most sought-after person.

At least till a few minutes before he, and his officers started preparations for Telangana’s new Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s arrival at the Secretariat’s main entrance.

Many visitors to the Secretariat which became more accessible than it was in the past, headed straight for Misra, drawn by his impressive moustache, and wanted to take selfies with him.

 “This happens all the time,” Misra said with a smile, as he obliged individuals and small groups of people who wanted a picture with him. “Even when I go to weddings, people I don’t know come to me and want a picture with me,” he said, adding: “It’s probably the moustache.”

It did not matter whether it was individual, or a group, he patiently posed for pictures with them.

Misra, who started his career as a sub-inspector and has expertise in communications, electronics and handling explosives, having worked in bomb disposal in his younger days, is the Chief Security Officer at the Secretariat, holding the rank of a superintendent of police.
