No bail for accused in human trafficking

Hyderabad: Justice C. Sumalatha of the Telangana High Court on Wednesday refused bail to Deepak Chand, one of the accused in a case of human trafficking.

The case against the petitioner was that he was into business of human trafficking and flesh trade by procuring young girls from other traffickers and through dating applications.

The counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was a resident of Rajasthan and the only allegation against him is that he provided bus tickets to other accused. The Assistant Public Prosecutor argued that the offences are grievous in nature and investigation was yet to be concluded.

The court accepting the contentions of the APP, dismissed the bail application.
