AIADMK cadre succumbs to burns

THANJAVUR: In a tragic turn, R.Ravindran (46), an AIADMK functionary who tried to self-immolate himself, allegedly unable to bear the indisposition of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and party supremo J.Jayalalithaa on Friday, succumbed to his burns at the Medical college hospital here on Sunday.

It may be recalled that Ravindran, assistant secretary of AIADMK for ward number two in the city corporation, who was worried over ‘Amma’s health, attempted self-immolation near his house after dousing his body with
petrol on Friday.  

He was admitted to the Medical College hospital in a serious condition.
He died on Sunday. He leaves behind Thamizhmani, wife, three sons and one daughter.
