KANNUR: The Janaraksha Yatra headed by BJP state president Kummanam Rajasekharan against the CPM violence reached  Kuthuparambu on Friday and will enter Kozhikode district on Saturday. Union minister for state for water resources Arjun Ram Meghwal inaugurated the rally at Panoor bus stand premises.  Mr Meghwal said that a state known for its greenery has been made red by the    CPM.  So the  people should  reinstate the green after removing the red, he added.

Mr  Kummanam Rajasekharan who addressed the workers said that the CPM leaders were reiterating that only their ideology is right. “I am sure the  people of the state would give a fitting reply  to the CPM in the next Assembly elections,” he added.   The rally began with the workers reciting Vandemataram song at the venue.   Organizing committee chairman V.P. Surendran presided.

The yatra would start as a vehicle rally from Thalassery on Saturday and will enter Kozhikode district at Azhiyoor. There will  be receptions at various places. From Elathur,  the rally would switch to the walking mode and enter Kozhikode city.
