Four start-ups onboard IIIT-H's Accelerator

 Hyderabad: The Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) at IIIT-Hyderabad on Tuesday said it had onboarded four start-ups for the Avishkar Accelerator 2023 summer cohort.

CIE said it had received more than120 applications of which the selection committee had shortlisted six start-ups from domains of real-time data collection of patients movements, brain health management, lithium-ion cell manufacturing, C-V2X, AI and digital twins and web tools for mobile. Of these, four were selected.

The selected start-ups will receive Rs 40 lakh seed fund along with a detailed six-month plan that offers four streams of mentorship in the form of business strategy, go to market plan, technical review and domain-specific mentorship.

A statement said that since the launch of Avishkar Accelerator in 2016, CIE had picked up 48 start-ups in 26 cohorts in AI, ML, IoT, and digital health, with about 53 per cent of them raising follow-on funding.
