Kamareddy: Kamareddy district collector Jitesh V. Patil said that the administration had received 1,026 objections against the proposed master plan for Kamareddy municipal limits. The document was still in the draft stage and approved only after considering the suggestions and objections raised by farmers, he said.

The industrial zone proposal was also a draft, he said while addressing a press conference here on Saturday.

Patil said that objections could be submitted till January 11. “We will forward the objections to the higher ups, who will take the final call,” he said.

The earlier master plan was approved with industrial zones in 2000 but no industry has been set up there till date, Patil pointed out.  Additional collector (local bodies) Venkatesh Dhothre was also present on the occasion.
