Eid-ul-fitr holiday extends to Thursday in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram: The State government has declared holiday for educational institutions, including professional colleges, on Thursday, in the wake of Eid-ul-fitr. Though,  religious leaders declared that the Eid-ul-Fitr, the largest religious festival of the Muslims, would be on Wednesday as the Shawal moon was not sighted Monday evening, the government decided to allot an extra holiday to educational institutions.
