Good facilities in govt schools: Sabitha

 Hyderabad: Education minister Sabitha Indra Reddy on Monday announced that Mekala Mandi School will be upgraded to a high school from the next academic year.  Along with minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav, she inaugurated development works to be taken up at a cost of Rs 2.22 crore for construction of additional classrooms in Sanatnagar, as part of the Mana Basti Mana Badi programme in government schools. She also opened the expansion works of Bansilalpet government school, coming up at a cost of Rs 1.84 crore.

Addressing the gathering, she said, “We are providing facilities to students in all government schools. The enrollment of poor students is increasing in these schools. We are providing quality meals with fine rice and ragi-java three days in a week.”
