BJP welcomes investment funds from GI Summit

VIJAYAWADA: AP BJP president Somu Veerraju on Saturday welcomed organising of the Global Investors Summit in Visakhapatnam saying it will be a good omen for development of Andhra Pradesh.

Incidentally, BJP’s alliance partner Jana Sena’s chief Pawan Kalyan had on Friday appreciated Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy for his efforts in organising the global summit in Andhra Pradesh.

The BJP AP chief has done an encore on Saturday. He said: "Investment Summit is a good augury, as it will help AP in attracting funds from all over the globe. The BJP-led government at the centre is extending all support to the state government in this regard.”

Veerraju maintained that today, India has a favourable industrial climate due to determined efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Union minister Nitin Gadkari's presence shows how the central government is supporting AP, he underlined.

The state BJP chief said their party is expecting Jagan Mohan Reddy to follow up and make sure that the promised ₹13 lakh crore are invested in Andhra Pradesh.

“If not, we strongly believe that this government will also suffer the same fate as the previous government, which misled people by juggling numbers,” he remarked.
