KOZHIKODE: When he wrote the story for a school project, Kozhikode Silver Hills Higher Secondary School teacher Shaji Kacheri never thought that it would be developed into a short film. On Wednesday when the short film was released by noted music director M Jayachandran and Kozhikode South MLA Dr M.K Muneer by handing over the CD to current music heartthrob Shreya Jayadeep, it was a dream comes true for the school.

The short film 'Thiruthu' depicts the story of two students who treaded the wrong path but came out of it with the help of teachers and other students in the campus. The idea of short film developed from a story written for the Malayalam project of ninth standard, in which the teachers and students of the School came as characters. Former minister Dr M.K Muneer was also part of the short film by releasing school magazine in the short film. The cast and crew of the film are all teachers, students and alumni.
