HYDERABAD: Multiple medical associations protested with slogans and posters against health minister T. Harish Rao extending his support to unregistered medical practitioners or quacks.
The associations, including Telangana Doctors Federation, Healthcare Reforms Doctors Association, Indian Medical Association, Telangana Junior Doctors' Association, also held an emergency meeting. Post the meeting, they decided to hold a series of agitations, meetings and representations regarding the issue between October 3 and 16.
A video was circulated in which the minister was allegedly heard speaking over the phone during a meeting of unregistered medical practitioners and extending his support to them.
