Chennai: Refusing to transfer the Swathi murder case to the CBI, Madras High court stated that allegation of her converting to Islam and marrying her friend Bilal Sithick were figment of imagination and as such deserve no credence.

Justice P.N. Prakash, before whom a petition filed by Pushpam, mother of Ramkumar, the accused, came up for hearing, said the petitioner relied upon news items which appeared in the print media and other media sources, which cannot form the basis of transferring a case to the CBI.
