Visakhapatnam: King George Hospital superintendent Ashok Kumar has ordered an inquiry into the complaint of a patient M. Satyavati of Kotavooratla mandal in Anakapalli district that food infested with worms had been served to her.

Showing the food to hospital authorities, Satyavati asked, "We have come to the hospital to get better. How can they provide food like this, which will make our condition worse,” she asked.

The hospital superintendent said they are taking the matter very seriously. “We have instructed hospital dieticians and CSRM (Central Sterile and Reprocessing Unit) to provide a detailed report as soon as possible. Necessary measures will be taken to address the issue," Ashok Kumar stated.
