P C George insults assaulted actor, probe team

Alappuzha: P C George, Poonjar MLA, has insulted the actress, who was allegedly assaulted by Pulsar Suni in Kochi and he also mocked the investigation team. Speaking to the media at the Alappuzha Press Club here on Monday evening, George said the police told the court that she was raped more brutally than Nirbhaya in Delhi. “If so, how could she act in films after two days. Why she did not go to hospital for treatment?  Can police reveal any true evidence against actor Dileep to prove his role in the rape? I still strongly believe that Dileep is innocent,” he said.

He also challenged the state government for probing the wealth and assets of superstars Mohanlal and Mammotty and other actors in the film industry.   He said Dileep was a poor guy who got his wealth through his hard work. “The police who are probing the wealth and land of Dileep should also show courage to probe the wealth and assets of superstars and other actors in the film industry,’’ he said.
