RPF Woman Constable Saves Life Of A Woman Passenger

HYDERABAD:A Railway Protection Force (RPF) woman constable, K. Shivani, rescued a woman passenger who slipped and fell while boarding a train at Khammam railway station on Wednesday.

According to a statement, the passenger, Krishnaveni, was trying to board the Guntur Intercity Superfast Express that had started moving, and slipped into the gap between the platform and the train.

Shivani rushed to the spot and rescued the passenger, said Debashmita C Banerjee, senior divisional security commissioner, Secunderabad. The train was also stopped.

Shivani provided first aid to Krishnaveni, who was injured, and arranged for her to be shifted to the Khammam government hospital.

Shivani, a native of Kamepalli of Khammam district, was appointed in the RPF in 1998.
