UP: Under trial prisoner dies in jail
The prisoner died due to an illness. He was lodged in jail last year.

Muzaffarnagar: A 60-year-old under trial prisoner of the district jail here died due to illness in Kairana town of Shamli district, police said.
According to jail superintendent Rakesh Singh, Imran, a tuberculosis patient, was under treatment in a hospital here.
He was lodged in jail last year under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, he said, adding the body has been sent for post-mortem.
