A woman confronted an elderly man for secretly taking photos of her legs at a Rajasthan temple, sparking social media outrage.

A disturbing video from the Dilwara Jain Temple in Mount Abu has gone viral, showing a woman confronting an elderly man who allegedly took unauthorized photos of her legs while she was sitting near the temple premises. The incident, captured by the woman’s friend Anurag and later posted on Instagram, shows the woman demanding an explanation from the man, who initially denies the allegation. However, upon being asked to show his phone, he eventually opens his gallery, revealing the photos in question.

Visibly upset, the woman questions him sharply: “Uncle ye kya hai? Kyu le rahe ho mere pairon ka pictures?” (“Uncle, what is this? Why are you taking pictures of my legs?”). The woman further accused the man of staring at her, making her feel uncomfortable. When she confronted him, he deleted the photos in front of her, but later denied taking them, further angering her. She rebuked him, saying, "Aren't you ashamed? You're sitting near a temple and clicking my pictures."

Despite the confrontation occurring in a public, spiritual setting, bystanders reportedly did not intervene. The Instagram video, captioned by Anurag, highlights the broader issue of safety and consent in public spaces: “Today, my friend was sitting peacefully in front of the Delwada Jain Temple, waiting for her parents, when an older man began staring at her uncomfortably and even clicked a photo of her leg without her consent... This happened in a public, spiritual place, in broad daylight. And yet, basic respect and safety were nowhere to be found.”

The man reportedly deleted the image after being confronted, but the video has triggered widespread outrage on social media, with calls for stronger measures to ensure women’s safety in religious and public spaces. Many users have tagged the Rajasthan Police and tourism authorities, urging them to investigate and punish the man for his actions. One user wrote, “This is someone’s husband, someone’s brother, maybe someone’s father. Disgusting that he’s so old and still looks at women like this.”

As of now, there has been no official police statement or confirmation on whether a formal complaint has been filed. The video continues to gain traction online, sparking debate about harassment and accountability in places of worship.
