CBSE Class 10, 12 Results Out: Girls Lead Again, Over 3.38 Lakh Score Above 90%
Class 10 pass rate at 93.60%, Class 12 at 87.98%; over 69,000 students secure above 95% in both boards
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Monday declared the results for Class 10 and Class 12 examinations, with girls outperforming boys and lakhs of students securing top marks across the country.
For Class 10, the overall pass percentage stood at 93.60%, marking a slight dip from last year’s 93.12%. Girls continued to outperform boys by a margin of 2.04 percentage points. While 1.99 lakh students scored above 90%, more than 45,000 students secured 95% and above. However, 1.41 lakh candidates have been placed under the compartment category and will have to reappear.
In Class 12, the overall pass percentage was 87.98%, with girls again surpassing boys by 6.40 percentage points. A total of 1.15 lakh students scored above 90%, and 24,000 students bagged 95% and above marks.
CBSE Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj, while announcing the results, said, “The examinations were conducted smoothly this year and we congratulate all the students for their performance.”
