ED Raids YouTuber Anurag Dwivedi’s Residence; Lamborghini and Luxury Cars Seized
Authorities are analyzing bank records, payment data, and network links
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided Uttar Pradesh-based YouTuber Anurag Dwivedi's Unnao residence in a money laundering probe linked to illegal online betting platforms. Officials seized four luxury vehicles, including a Lamborghini Urus, BMW Z4, and Mercedes-Benz, viewed as acquired from criminal proceeds disproportionate to his declared income.
Sources indicate much of Dwivedi's income came from promoting platforms like Sky Exchange and other betting apps, illegal in India and using digital channels for fund transfers. He allegedly acted as an affiliate, using his YouTube following to direct users to these apps.
The PMLA-registered case examines if promotion earnings were laundered through accounts or entities to buy assets and fund a lavish lifestyle. The PMLA allows asset attachment and tracing complex transactions.
This action targets influencers aiding illegal betting for visibility. Authorities are analyzing bank records, payment data, and network links. The probe is ongoing, with more actions expected.
