 Raipur: Twenty-one Maoists carrying a cumulative bounty of Rs 25.50 lakh on Wednesday surrendered at Dantewada under south Bastar in Chhattisgarh, police said.

Prominent among them was Kesa Lekma, member of the company number one of Maoists.

He carried a bounty of Rs eight lakh, police said.

In another development, eight Maoists carrying a combined bounty of Rs 30 lakh surrendered at Narayanpur under south Bastar on Wednesday.

Prominent among them were Sukhlal, who was the head of the Maoists’ medical team, and Himansu, member of the Company number one of Naxals.

Both the ultras were active in Kutul area under Abujhmad under Narayanpur district, according to the police.

Both the Naxals carried a reward of Rs eight lakh each.
