Hyderabad: Sunburn organisers booked

The event organisers were asked to shut by 10 pm, but they failed to take necessary measures.

Hyderabad: Organisers of the Sunburn festival have been booked for endangering the lives of the audience by failing to make proper arrangements and for disobeying orders of the police for an event that happened on December 29. 

Sunburn, an electronic music festival was organised at Boulder Hills in Gachibowli on Saturday and was attended by about 7,000 people. 

The event organisers were asked to shut by 10 pm, but they failed to take necessary measures.

The police booked a case against the organisers for not following the instructions of the police and for putting the lives of the public at risk.

Gachibowli inspector R. Srinivas said, “The organisers ensured concluding the event before 10 pm. The footage of the event showed that the event was stopped five minutes before deadline. But, they failed to provide proper parking and the crowd was not managed well. A case has been booked against the organisers under Sections 188 and 336 of IPC, and investigation is on.”
