Kerala hackers' tit-for-tat stirs up Facebook

Kozhikode: The hackers from Kerala have defaced the Election Commission of Pakistan's website among several other websites in retaliation for the busting of  the website of Thiruvananthapuram International Airport by Pakistani hackers.

The hacking  became the topic of discussion on Facebook in the last two days with 'trollers' congratulating Malayali hackers on their 'achievement.’

After the first attack on Wednesday,  Malayali hackers defaced the website of a Pak airport. The 'Mallu Cyber Soldiers' hacked the website of Sialkot airport and changed the password to 'malayalees.'  The hackers then allowed trollers to post trolls or memes on the website. Online portals in the state shared the news but the hackers were not happy as the Pak media ignored the event.

The hackers went one step ahead by hacking a Pak news portal and posting Malayalam content.  Later in the day many Pakistani media shared the news of hacking of their election commission.  Pakistan's official Election Commission's government website was hacked by Mallu Cyber Soldiers. They made public the admin panel and credential information of the website.  The Keralite hackers announced the hacking incident on their Facebook page.

The Pakistani hackers had on Wednesday hacked a server containing 148 domains of Indian airport websites, including that of Cochin and Trivandrum. The site was taken down and the hackers posted a message on the main page ‘Kashmiri Cheetah.’  The same group had  hacked writer M.T. Vasudevan Nair's website.

The social media was full of trolls making fun of Pakistani hackers. Keralites used popular film star Salim Kumar's image in the trolls.
