Bengaluru: Vision Group declares 12 roads high-density

Traffic on Cunningham Road and all important corridors will be eased through a better synchronisation of signal lights.

A meeting of the Sub-Group on Traffic of the Vision Group on Bengaluru decided to declare as many as 12 roads as high density roads and six roads as signal-free roads in the state capital.

Bengaluru: A meeting of the Sub-Group on Traffic of the Vision Group on Bengaluru decided to declare as many as 12 roads as high density roads and six roads as signal-free roads in the state capital.

The meeting was chaired by the Chief Secretary to Government Aravind Jadhav. The twelve roads declared as high density roads include Ramana Maharshi Road - Mekhri Circle to Windsor Manor junction; Hudson Circle area; Central Silk Board junction to Jayadeva Hospital flyover; Bannerghatta Road between Dairy Circle to Sagar Hospital; KR Puram — Benniganahalli to Mahadevapura flyover; Old Madras Road —  Double Road to Big Bazaar; Hebbal Flyover; Whitefield area; Outer Ring Road — BEL to FTS Circle; Outer Ring Road — Mahadevapura to Iblur;  Mysuru Road; and Silk Board to Vellara Junction  The group also decided to implement new traffic regulations on Hosur Road —  Sarjapur Road, Manyatha Tech Park on ORR, K. R. Puram, Benniganhalli, Bellandur and Whitefield areas.

Traffic on Cunningham Road and all important corridors will be eased through a better synchronisation of signal lights, safer routes to schools is on the anvil as well as moving 122 bus stops and shelters out of intersections, ensuring that buses only stop at bus stops, and more buses are deployed after 9 pm.
