Hyderabad: BJP state president and Union minister G. Kishan Reddy filed a complaint with the Election Commission of India (ECI) stating that BRS workers had been allowed to move around the polling stations, and BJP activists’ complaints on the matter had been ignored.

In the letter, Kishan Reddy alleged, “The police failed to take any action” and cited the example of alleged incidents at the Jangaon Assembly constituency. BJP cadre protested against the presence of BRS cadre and were threatened with dire consequences, he alleged and said, “Free and fair polling was not allowed.”

He alleged that the police were supporting, directly or indirectly, the BRS candidates and their workers who were threatening BJP workers. The police threatened the BJP workers with false cases. “It has come to our notice that in the Amberpet constituency, the BRS candidate and his son were found openly distributing money and no action has been taken,” the TS BJP chief said.
