Hyderabad: Shyama an accomplished writer

Hyderabad: Chief income-tax commissioner Shyama Prasad Choudhury, has been elevated to the rank of Principal Chief Commissioner and is the new head of the I-T department for the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. 

I-T departments for both the states  had collected close to Rs 50,000 cr for the financial year 2017-18. With him at the helm, the Income-Tax Department in the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh is expected to collect Rs 60,845  cr in 2018-19. Mr Choudhury, apart from being an efficient officer, is an excellent writer who has written many short stories, which have won accolades in  premier literary circles.
