1,000 medical outlets for AP: JP Nadda

The National Health Mission has recognised 100 best practices across the country.

Tirupati: Union minister for health J.P. Nadda has assured all help for newly formed Andhra Pradesh in developing health and medical facilities. He said this while inaugurating a three-day summit on Best Practices and Innovations in Public Care System, organised by the National Health Mission here on Monday.

Later, speaking to the media, he said the Centre had sanctioned 1,000 generic medicine outlets to AP against a total sanction of 3,000 across the country.

Through national health mission, Rs 1,423 crore funds were given to AP. The AIIMS at Mangalagiri will be operational within two years. While appreciating the new and good practices introduced by various states, he said the summit, attended by health ministers of all the states and Union Territories, will interact on the best practices and discuss new innovations in the sector.

The National Health Mission has recognised 100 best practices across the country. About 240 applications were received in the summit in which 24 oral presentations and 34 postal presentations were considered.
