Hyderabad: Jogini Shyamala, who performs at the Bonalu festival every year has cursed the KCR government saying “it would soon fall” for the “inadequate” arrangements made and the misbehaviour of the police at the temples.

As the devotee turnout was more than expected, crowd management was a trouble on Sunday.

The jogini claimed that she was manhandled by the police, which has never happened in the past.

She also mentioned that if Bonalu was organised only for VIPs and politicians, it should be informed in advance so that devotees can rest at home and offer prayers peacefully. This is not the way to handle the situation.

“This government would not stay in power for long and will fall soon,” she added.

Videos of police manhandling the crowd is doing the rounds on social media and many were even seen falling down after being beaten up by the cops.
