Hyderabad: In response to the article carried in this newspaper under the title “GHMC helpline refuses to listen,” the corporation has responded saying, “The contract for GHMC call center (with numbers 040- 21111111 and 155304) has come to a closure with the previous service provider. With a view to build a robust structure of grievance redressing for citizens of GHMC and as a note of providing a single point of contact for all emergencies and grievances, GVK EMRI has been identified as the major service provider. The call centre operators have been operating the emergency services of 108 for Health department and Dial 100 command & control center for Police and has also been addressing issues pertaining to TSSPDCL and HMWSSB all with world class amenities within its premises.”
After the Government decided to hand over the GHMC call center 040-21111111 to GVK EMRI and integrate it with Dial 100 Emergency Calls, work has been initiated to shift the PRI lines to Kompally and the migration of Internet lines is in progress.
The full fledge operation of GHMC Call Center by GVK EMRI will be start after the restoration of Internet lines which will be done by the first week of June.
