Bengaluru: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwanth Mann Singh on Sunday said that even Britishers would be ashamed of the loot happening in the country wherein industrialists friends of Prime Minister Narendra Modi are allegedly allowed to loot the nation in the last two years.

“During the 200 year British rule we did not see this much loot like it is happening now in the country,” said Mann. At an election rally in Chitradurga in Karnataka, he accused PM of selling railways, airports, ports, Life Insurance Corporation among others and alleged that he purchased only the media. He questioned “What’s left now in the country to be sold?”

Over Modi’s 100th ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme on Sunday, Mann said “Listening to you, people made you PM twice” and questioned “When would you speak about the common man?”

He accused both the national parties of playing politics with an understanding and the leaders of both the parties are ‘arrogant.’ Mann reminded that voters have sent ‘arrogant’ leaders home defeating them in the elections and stated that voters are kings in a democracy.

Mann said Congress party in Karnataka is no longer a party for ‘change’ and it has become ‘exchange’ party and after winning the election they switched loyalties and many Congress MLAs crossed to BJP in 2019.

AAP is 10 years old and Goa has two MLAs, 13 percent share in Gujarat with 5 MLAs, ruling Delhi government and Punjab and 10 seats in Rajya Sabha, Mann said and stated the people of the country have started to associate with AAP.

In Punjab, he said, four ministers have been sent to jail over alleged ‘corruption’ charges and their properties have been attached. From the attached properties, Mann said, roads would be constructed, power supply among others.

Reffering to the development, Mann recalled that government schools in Delhi under Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal have been transformed so that children of Judges, Deputy Commissioners, auto-rickshaw among others sit in a bench and study. “This is what development means,” he said.

Mann said two students studying in government schools passed 10th exams with a score of 600 out of 600 and some students scored 598 out of 600 and 597 marks. Nowadays, students who studied in government schools in Delhi have passed NEET among others. Mann wanted to install the AAP government in Karnataka for better governance.
