Hyderabad: A total of 644 individuals, including 122 minors and 522 majors, were caught red-handed by the She Teams in 2017. Awareness programmes were conducted in 500 colleges, 300 schools and 500 women’s hostels. The She Teams has bought a sense of safety among women, said an official.

“Four counselling sessions for 122 minors and parents were organised with the help of professional psychologists. Awareness programmes were also conducted in slums, labour camps and among auto/cab drivers,” said the commissioner.

He said that the She Teams concept is implemented in six states. “Andhra Pradesh, Orissa, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh have started training with our expertise.
