 Hyderabad: Telangana Artists Forum on Tuesday organised their initiative called the “Art of Democracy” to spread awareness about the sanctity of the vote and to counter bribes exposed by law enforcement in the past month.

The Forum also exhibited  cartoons of influential artists like Subhani of Deccan Chronicle, Shankar and M..V. Ramana Reddy, among others. The cartoons were exhibited at the Press Club, Somajiguda.

The TAF also made a 12-minute documentary on voter bribery, which was released by renowned director Ram Gopal Varma, who spoke about the importance of mindful voting. The documentary delves into the subtle and overt forms of voter influence employed by political parties, despite many constitutional prohibitions.

Ramana Reddy said Ram Gopal Varma was known for being brutally honest and garnered attention for his words and was the perfect figure to help amplify the message.

Speaking at the launch, Varma said, "Even if you've taken money from everybody, it's not too late, cast a vote for the candidate you think will solve your local issues, devoid of who paid you."
