Hyderabad: The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation employees unions’ Joint Action Committee welcomed the decision of the Cabinet to allow workers to resume duty unconditionally from Friday.

JAC convener E. Ashwathama Reddy on Thursday appealed to the employees to rejoin duty and said that with the announcement of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao the strike had a happy ending.

He, however, criticised Mr Rao’s comments against the RTC unions and said they had never never caused a loss to the RTC.

No one has the right to remove trade unions from the labour sector.

Mr Reddy apologised to the commuters who had to face hardships during the strike and thanked them for their cooperation and support to the agitation. He said the episode was not a win either for the RTC or the state government.
