KCR announces 25 per cent bonus for Singareni Collieries workers

Collieries CMD N. Sridhar told the finance department deposit the money in the bank accounts of the staff.

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao announced a 25 per cent bonus for workers at Singareni Collieries for 2016-17. He directed the collieries management to pay the money, totalling Rs 98.94 crore, on Friday, a day ahead of Dasara.

Mr Rao directed the collieries to pay Rs 57,000 as Diwali bonus in advance also on Friday. The Diwali advance, amounting to Rs 336 crore, is usually paid in mid-October.  

Collieries CMD N. Sridhar told the finance department deposit the money in the bank accounts of the staff.

Together, the bonus and Diwali advance will amount to Rs 72,000 to '77,000 per employee. The management had paid Rs 2,5000 to each worker on September 22 as Dasara advance.
