Thiruvananthapuram: MILMA milk goes online
The farmer corporative is planning to deliver not only milk but also other products including egg and dosa batter through the app.
Thiruvananthapuram: Consumers in the state would be able to order milk via mobile application with Kerala Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (KCMMF) or MILMA, the state-sponsored milk processor, launching its own online ordering app and door delivery service on Friday. To start with, the service will be available in Thiruvananthapuram from July 1.
Dairy development minister K. Raju said that service would be made available in Kochi by the second week of July and spread gradually to other districts. He said that with this MILMA would be able to supply its products to every nook and corner of the state.
It has tied up with AM Needs, a private agency, to develop the online platform and doorstep delivery of various MILMA products.
The farmer corporative is planning to deliver not only milk but also other products including egg and dosa batter through the app.
The delivery team would collect the products from the nearest MILMA Shoppe and get it delivered at the doorstep in the assigned time slot. Delivery would be done from 5 am to 8 am every day.
The price of the milk products would remain the same. MILMA supplies 65 per cent of the branded milk consumed in the state capital.
