'Telangana Parents Association' forms human chain against school fee hike

Over 100 parents, along with TPA members gathered at Sundaraiah Park, Baghllingampally, to oppose the fee hike.

Hyderabad: Enraged over the fee hike by private schools, Telangana Parents Association formed a human chain on Wednesday. 

Over 100 parents, along with TPA members gathered at Sundaraiah Park, Baghllingampally, to oppose the fee hike. 

The TPA also alleged that schools were selling books, stationery and uniforms at thrice the market rate.  

TPA demanded to see the Tirupati Rao Committee report as soon as possible. 
The TPA wants the government to control the fee structure of private schools. 
N. Narayana, state president, TPA said, “Schools have imposed a fee hike of around 20 per cent to 40 per cent this year which is not at all acceptable.”
